John Brouwer, 41 year old farmer living north of Hull, died shortly after midnight Friday as a result of a tractor accident.
John Brouwer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Brouwer died in the Hull hospital Saturday morning about 12:15 as a result of a tractor disc accident. He was working in the field and the accident happened shortly after dinner last Thursday. It is thought he was looking back at the disc when his head struck a tree limb knocking him from the seat of the tractor and onto the disc. His neck was broken and his head badly cut. He remained conscious until Friday afternoon when he became delirious.
He is survived by his wife and five children all under 12 years of age. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Brouwer, three sisters Gertrude ( Mrs. Adam Van Otterloo); Dora (Mrs. John J. Van Otterloo Jr.) and one brother, Herman Brouwer.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the home at 12:30 and the Christian Reformed Church in Hull at 1:30. Burial in the Valley View Cemetery, Rock Valley. The family gathering was in the Christian Reformed Church at Rock Valley.
