Funeral Services
Held For Mrs. Leen Vanden Bosch Funeral services for Mrs. Leen Vander Bosch, 84, who died at a Sibley hospital after an illness of three years, were held at 11:O0 a. m. Wednesday at the Vander Ploeg funeral home at Rock Valley and at 1:30 p. m. at the First Christian Reformed church. Rev. Louis Bouma officiated and burial was at Valley View cemetery.

Mrs. Vanden Bosch was born Sept. 18, 1872, at Orange City. She and her husband moved to Hock Valley after their marriage Jan. 15, 1903.

Survivors include the widower; four sons, Harry Abrma of Grand Rapids; Mich, and Jake Abma of Rock Valley; and John Vanden Bosch of Hock Valley and Thomas Vanden Bosch of Everett, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Ed Silvis of Bigelow, Minn.; Mrs. Henry De Wit of Inwood; and Mrs. Harry Vugteveen of Holland, Mich.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Bas Groeneweg of Sioux Center and Mrs. Barney Bajema-of Rock Valley; one brother Henry Van Veldhuizen of Boyden, also 69 grand children, 91 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Two daughters, three stepdaughters, an infant son and her first husband, Marcus Abma preceded her in death.

(It was noted in the Alton Democrat of Jan 4, 1929 That Alice Abma wife of Herman Oldenkamp had died, born 1898 Rock Valley, brothers Jake and Harry. Also, noted that in Sioux Center News in 1901 that Mrs. Marcus Abma was a widow.)
