From the June 7, 1945 Hawarden Independent:

LAWRENCE MCNALLY DIED IN LOS ANGELES LAST MONDAY

Mrs. Lloyd Morgan of Hawarden received word Monday that her brother, Lawrence McNally of Los Angela Calif., passed away in a hospital in that city Monday from a heart ailment. He had been in poor health for some time and confined to a hospital three weeks. Funeral services will be held in Los Angeles and burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery.

Lawrence McNally, son of Mrs. Alice McNally of Hollywood, Calif. was born on a farm near Ireton October 8, 1905, where he grew to young manhood. He was a graduate of the Ireton high school. He was married to Nell Morrison of Ireton and to this union were born two children. About ten years ago he moved to California where he lived during the intervening years. Practically all of this time he served as night foreman of Borden's Dairy plant.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Bernice, 15, and Kathleen, 3; his mother, Mrs. Alice McNally of Hollywood, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Morgan of Hawarden and Bernice McNally of Hollywood, Calif.; and one brother, Francis McNally of Los Angeles, Calif.

Poster's notes: According to the 1910 & 1920 census, Lawrence was the son of Alice and Frank E. McNally. Frank's obituary gives Alice's maiden name as Mins.
