Mrs. Nels Westre Dies at 86 Years

Funeral services tor Mrs. Nels O. Westre, 86, who died Sunday at the Panska Nursing home, will be at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday) at the Methodist church, Rev. C. E. Custer officiating, Interment will be at Pleasant Hill cemetery, Ireton.

Minnie Bunce was born September 26, 1874, at Toledo, Iowa. She married Nels Westre in Sioux City September 22, 1903. They came to Hawarden 15 years ago. He died a couple of years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Nelson of Carlsbad, Calif., and George of Columbia Falls, Mont; a daughter, Mrs. Merle Carpenter of Ireton and five grandchildren.

Poster's Note: This obituary calls her "Minnie Bunce" but she is Mamie Westre in most census records and on her tombstone at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
