MRS. LOUIS VANDER LAAN

After a long illness, Mrs. Coba Ver Steeg Vander Laan died August 29, at 1:30 in her home. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday), September 1 in the home at 1 p. m. and in the First Reformed church at 1:30 p. m. Burial will be in the Orange City cemetery with A. D. Van Etten in charge of arrangements.

Coba, daughter of the late Jacob and Henrietta Ver Steeg, was born December 12, 1880 on a farm in the Orange City vicinity. During childhood, she moved to Orange City with her parents and she lived here the rest of her life. She graduated from Northwestern Academy in 1899. She was a teacher in the Orange City Christian school until 1930 when she was married on July 12 to Louis Vander Laan.

Surviving are her husband, one niece and four nephews.
