CHRIS VANDER BERG

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the First Reformed church of Boyden for Chris Vander Berg, 46, who passed away Saturday night in St. Joseph hospital in Sioux City after being sick only four days with a rare blood disease.

Services for the family were held at 1 p.m., immediately preceding church services. Rev. Henri Stuenenberg officiated.

Five nephews and Ed Baartman were pallbearers. Burial was made in the Boyden cemetery.

Mr. Vander Berg was born March 12, 1911. He was at present an owner and employer of B and B repair shop in Boyden.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl; a daughter, Marydale, Mrs. Urban Hartman of Stevenville, New Foundland; a son, Tony, at home; and three sisters, Mrs. John Den Hartog of Orange City, Mrs. John Van Surksum of Glendale, Ariz. and Mrs. Pete Vis of Hull.
