Betty Mae Middendorp, 51, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Inwood, died Monday in a hospital in Sioux Falls.

Services were held Wednesday in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Inwood and Rev. Arno Frerichs officiated. Burial in Richland Cemetery in Inwood with Porter Funeral Home, Inwood in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Middendorp, the former Betty Mae Knutson, was born February 17, 1935, in Inwood and graduated from Inwood High School. She married Marion Van Middendorp December 29, 1954, in Canton, South Dakota. They made their home in Sioux Falls where she worked at Midland National Life Insurance Company.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn and Terri Middendorp, both of Bakersfield, California; five brothers, Loren, Orlin “Bud” and Vernon, all of Inwood, Donald of Sioux Falls and Roger of Minneapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Ron (Mavis) Greenwood of Merrimack, New Hampshire, and Mrs. John (Lyla) Severson of Sioux Falls, and one grandchild.
