Died: 4-4-1982Herbert Vander Hamm, 85, of Alton, formerly of Ireton, died Sunday, April 4 in a hospital in Orange City.
Services were at 1:30pm Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Ireton. The Rev. Michael Klafehn officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. There was a prayer service at 7:30pm Tuesday in the Dow Funeral Home of Ireton.
Mr. Vander Hamm was born Nov. 6, 1896, in Ireton. He married Norma Nuoffer Feb. 19, 1920, in Ireton.
He fared in the Ireton area and moved to Alton In 1977.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lowell of Fairfield, and three grandchildren.
