Eleanor Davelaar, 52, of Inwood died Thursday, July 25, of a lengthy illness at the Sioux Valley Hospital at Sioux Falls.

Services were held at 10:30 A. M. Saturday, July 27, at the Christian Reformed Church, Inwood, with the Rev. Dave Heilman officiating. Burial was at the Richland Cemetery, Inwood.

Mrs. Davelaar was born April 24, 1944, at Carmel, the daughter of James and Nellie (Broek) Franken. She attended the Carmel and Sioux Center Schools. She married Gerrit Davelaar August 16, 1963, at Carmel. The couple farmed near Sioux Center until moving near Inwood in 1974.

She was a member of the Philathea Circle at the Christian Reformed Church at Inwood.
Survivors include her husband; parents, James and Nellie Franken of Sioux Center; two sons, Mike and his wife Kari Davelaar of Sioux Falls and Darren Davelaar of Inwood; one daughter, Jolene Davelaar of Sioux Falls; two brothers, Art J. Franken and John J. Franken of Sioux Center; and four grandchildren, Erin, Elizabeth, Troy and John Davelaar.
