Funeral services were held Monday in Detroit, Michigan, for Dr. Edward Tuynman, 41, who was killed April 21 in an automobile accident. He had been in answer a sick call. Burial was made in a Detroit Cemetery.

Mr. Tuynman was born to Mr. and Mrs. Peter Tuynman in Rock Valley April 10, 1919, and grew up in this vicinity graduating from Rock Valley Public School. He graduated from Creighton University at Omaha, Nebraska with a Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1944, took his internship at Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit and has practiced in Detroit. He was married to Marie Rielly about 15 years ago and four children were born to them.

He is survived by his wife, four children, one daughter, Ann Marie, three sons, Thomas, William and Peter; and six sisters; Mary (Mrs. Harold Brady) of Aberdeen, South Dakota; Irene (Mrs. George Lucas) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Marcella (Mrs. Bernard Walhof) of Boise, Idaho; Madeline (Mrs. Art Klein) of Rock Valley; Margaret (Mrs. Peter Vander Meer) and Dorothy (Mrs. William Zimmer) both of LeMars and Elleen (Mrs. Martin McNamara) of Rock Valley.
