Mr. Daniel Robuck, age 52, of Alton, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

There will be a funeral service on Monday, July 15, at 10:30am, at the Alton Presbyterian Church in Alton. Pastor Dennis Sohl will officiate. There will be a graveside service on Monday, at 4:00pm, at the Spotted Tail Cemetery in Jamison, Nebraska, with Pastor Bill Serr officiating.

Visitation will be after 3:00pm on Sunday, with the family present from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, at the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Daniel Duane, was born on February 13, 1961, in Fontana, California, the son of Richard Delmar and Billie Jane (Couch) Robuck. He grew up in the Chico, California, area and graduated from the Chico High School.

Following graduation, he moved to the Bay Area, where he had several jobs, including construction worker, limousine driver, and working at The Tools Guys store.

In the mid-1990s, “Dan” moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and started work at Walsh Brothers Furniture. While there, he met Sharon Marie Rezac, and they were united in marriage on February 3, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After spending a short time in Cottonwood, California, near Daniels parents, the couple, along with their new baby, Haylee, moved to Alton. Daniel spent time working at Jellema Construction in Alton, Civco Medical Solutions in Orange City, and most recently at Van Beek Natural Scientific, also in Orange City.

Mr. Robuck was a member of the Alton Presbyterian Church, where he had served as an elder.

Daniel enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, dirt-biking (in earlier years), playing darts, watching westerns, and playing with the family dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon, and daughter, Haylee Hobson Robuck, both of Alton; a brother, Richard Allen Robuck, of Bremerton, Washington; his wife’s mother, Donna Rezac; three sisters-in-law, Cheryl Bombay, Diane Jellema, and Carol Walton, and their families, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife’s father, Woodrow Rezac.
