Earl M. Coyer, 80, Hudson, died Saturday at a Sioux FAlls hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the VanDeMore Funeral Home in Hudson. The Rev. William E. Olmsted of the Methodist Church at Inwood, Iowa, officiated. Burial was in Sioux Township Cemetery rural Inwood.
Mr. Coyer was born April 4, 1897, in Sioux County, Iowa near Rock Valley. He served in the Army during World War I and after his discharge returned to farm in Sioux County.
He later was employed on several farms in Lincoln County retiring and moving to Hudson in 1960.
He was a member of Bergstrom-Bodeen Post 128 American Legion of Hudson.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
