Sioux Center News August 20, 1964

Funeral services were held for Kate VanderBok, 75, at 1:30pm in the First Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley on Friday, August 7th with the Rev. Durant Van conducting.

She died Thursday, August 4 at the Sioux Center hospital after a long illness.

Burial was in the Valley View cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home.

Miss Vander Bok was born August 3, 1889 at Patterson, NJ. She was the last surviving daughter of first minister of the First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley, the Rev. Adam Vander Velde Vander Bok. Survivors include eighteen nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers. Henry, Arend and Peter and by two sisters, Agnes Van Otterloo and Mrs. John J Van Otterloo Sr.

She was employed in Roelofs and Vander Bok stores.
