Selmar Uden, 64, of Canyon Lake, CA. formerly of Matlock, died Friday, February 26, 1988 at his home after a long illness.

Services are today (Wednesday) at 2pm in the Andringa Funeral Home in Sheldon with the Rev. Randall Richmond officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon.

Mr. Uden was born May 6, 1923, at Matlock and loved his youth and attended schools at Matlock and Sheldon. He married Ann Palmer June 29, 1979, Sheldon. The couple lived in Matlock until 1984. when they moved to Canyon Lake Ca. He was a surveyor for the Department of Water and Power for the state of California for 15 years. He was a broker for Prudential Life Insurance Company the last eight years.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dale of Island Lake, Ill. and Jerry of Marietta GA; a daughter, Betsy Kitten Tanner of Santa Maria, Ca; his mother, Bess Uden of rural Matlock; four stepchildren and four grandchildren.
