Funeral services for Mrs. Peter Tromp of Hospers were held Wednesday, August 10, with Rev. D. Bonnema officiating. Mrs. Tromp passed away Monday, August 8. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery with Vander Ploeg's in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Peter Tromp, nee Grietje Faber, was born August 8, 1863, in the Netherlands. She came to America at the age of 29 years. On March 28, 1892, she was united in marriage to Peter Tromp at Alton. To this union two children were born. Fannie, Mrs. Cornie Mulder, who died July 27, 1950 and Lizzie, at home in Hospers. Peter Tromp is survived by nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her.

Mrs. Tromp lived near Alton.
