Mrs. Sam Faber, 79, died Friday in the Pioneer Home Orange City after a brief illness. Funeral was at the First Christian Reformed Church. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Faber, the former Tena Nydan, was born September 3, 1904, in the Netherlands. She came to the United States when she was 16 years old. She married Sam Faber February 7, 1928, in Orange City. They made their home in Alton and Orange City. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, Thy Kingdom Come Society and Zangkoor.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Peter of Grand Rapids, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Bud (Bernice) Hubers of Demotte, Indiana; two step-brothers, Jake and Tony Huizenga, both of Orange City; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchildren
