May 2, 1929-February 11, 1994

Trellis Dokter, 64, of Sioux Center, died Friday, February 11 at the Sioux Center hospital. Services were Monday at Middleburg Free Grace Reformed Church with the Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.

Dokter was born on May 2, 1929 at Sioux Center, the daughter of Tunis and Johanna (Vander Ploeg) Den Herder. She taught country school at Sioux Center for three years. She married Gerrit Dokter on December 1, 1950 at Sioux Center.

She was a member of Free Grace Reformed Church, the church guild and taught Sunday School and catechism.

Survivors include her husband and her mother, both of Sioux Center; two daughters and their husbands, Joyce and Jim Zittritsch of Norfolk, Nebraska and Janice and Jim Calkhoven of Sioux Center; two sons and their wives, Larry and Judy of Boyden and Gaylen and Barb of Algona; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Glen Den Herder, on February 12, 1990.
