Mrs. Vanden Bos Succumbs Sunday
Death Sudden; Due To Heart Attack

Mrs. Wm J Vanden Bos died suddenly at her home here early Sunday morning, Aprii 4, apparently the victim of a heart attack. Death occurred at about 4:30 a.m.

Mrs. Vanden Bos had been suffering with high blood pressure, and had only recently been aware of a heart condition.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 7, at the Second Christian Reformed church with Dr. John Masselink in charge. Pallbearers were Chester Van Peursem. Ray Vender Meulen, Neal Dykhuizen, Jolm Kreykes, Aroe Van Grouw and George Vogel, who with Mr. Vanden Bos arc the elders of the Second Christian Reformed church. Interment was made at the Orange City cemetery.

Mrs. Vanden Bos, nee Johanna Bordewyk, was born May 10, 1892 at Harrison, So. Dak. On January 16, 1914, she was married to Wm. J. Vanden Bos. To this union one child. Mildred (Mrs. Benjamin Ver Steeg) was born.

Mr. and Mrs. Vanden Bos moved to Orange City in 1927 after living in Lakeview, South Dakota following their marriage.

Surviving relatives are the husband, Wm. J. Vanden Bos; a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Benjamin Ver Steeg and grandson, David. Also, one brother, Henry Bordewyk, Harrison, S. Dak., and one sister. Mrs. Case De Haan of Platte, S. Dak. Mrs. Vanden Bos was preceded In death by 7 sisters and 5 brothers.

Mrs. Vanden Bos has been a long time member of the Second, served as president of her circle for many years. She has also been an active worker in the Monica Society, the Christian School women's group.
