Funeral service for Mrs. Gertrude Andringa, 87, were held at the Second Christian Reformed Church Friday at 10 A. M. She died at the Orange City hospital after a lingering illness.
Rev. J. B. Hulst and Rev. Harlan Roelofs conducted the services.

Mrs. Andringa was born Gertrude Ketel, daughter of Laurence and Julia Ketel in Alton, Iowa. She and Johan Roghair were married in 1891; he passed away in 1934. She remarried in 1937 to Gerrit Reinders who passed away in 1947. Mrs. Andringa married Peter Andringa in 1950. He passed away in 1955.

She is survived by two daughters, Christina (Mrs. John Bylsma) of Bellingham, Washington, and Cynthia (Mrs. Steve De Vries), of Orange City, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by three brothers: Lou Ketel, Worthington, Minnesota; Nick Ketel, Hot Springs, South Dakota; and John Ketel, Bellflower, California; and by one sister, Mrs. Gerrit Roghair, Alton. She was preceded in death by two sons, Nickolas and John Jr.
