Mr. G. L. Vande Steeg was saddened Saturday by receiving the news that her father Stephen Van Zee had passed away at Pella at the ripe old age of 89. He was one of the first settlers of Pella. A wife and eight children are left to mourn. Postmaster and Mrs. Vande Steeg and Mrs. K. De Jong went to Pella to attend the funeral.
