Mrs. Gerrit Oldenkamp

Mrs. Gerrit Oldenkamp, 78, Orange City, died Nov. 9 in an Orange City hospital after a brief illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11 in the American Reformed Church at Orange City. The Rev. Donald Lenderink officiated. Burial was m the West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Mrs. Oldenkamp, the former Jessie Ver Maas, was born Jan 18, 1896, in The Netherlands. She was married Feb. 25 1919, at Middleburg, Iowa. The couple farmed near Hospers and Sheldon before moving to Orange City in 1944 Her husband died May 9, 1958.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ordean (Adrianna) Sampson of Dawson, Minn.; two sons, Gerrit of Cottage Grove, Minn., and John of Marshalltown; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
