Josephine Oldenkamp
Josephine Oldenkamp, 83, of Hull died Tuesday, October 31, at the Pleasant
Acres Care Center in Hull.

Funeral service was Friday at 10 a.m. at Hope Christian Reformed Church Hull with the Rev. Todd Zuidema officiating. Interment was at the Hope Cemetery in Hull.

Mrs. Oldenkamp was born on December 8, 1922, at Doon, the daughter of Henry and Hattie (Kosters) Van Engen. She was raised at Doon, where she attended school. On June 24, 1948, she married Gerrit Oldenkamp at Doon. They made their home in Hull, where she was a homemaker and also a clerk at the family business, Oldenkamp Manufacturing, Inc. In August of 2005, she became a resident of the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull. Early this year, she transferred 19 the Villa at Prairie View Campus in Sanborn. In August, she was able to return to Pleasant Acres.

She was a member of Hope Christian Reformed Church, where she participated in the Circle of Hope. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing, caring for her grandchildren and helping her daughters with housekeeping.

Survivors include her husband of more than 58 years; three daughters and their husbands, Jolene and John Schiebout of Star, Idaho, and Marjean and Glenn Hulstein and Kathy and Mel Te Slaa, all of Hull; a son, Gary Oldenkamp of Hull; 12 grandchildren;' three sisters, Susie Van Engen and Geraldine Vanden Brink, both of Coopersville, Michigan; and Alice Goldhorn of Rock Rapids; and three sisters-in-law, Inez Van Engen ofJSioux Center, Winnie Van Engen of Inwood and Gcrt Van Engen of Luverne, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Henrietta Holwerda; four brothers, Henry, John, Herman and Dick Van Engen; three brothers-inlaw, Herman Holwerda, Alfred Goldhorn and Gys Vanden Brink; and a sister- in-law, Henrietta Van Engen.
