Funeral services for Sidney Oldenkamp were held Monday Feb 22, in the First Chr. Ref. Church Rev. M. Dornbos officiated.

Mr. Oldenkamp son of Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Oldenkamp was born July 17, 1926 near Rock Valley. He graduated from the local high school in May 1943.

After attending Nettleton Business college at Sioux Falls he enlisted in the Navy and began active service Feb. 7, 1944. He was awarded two battle stars for active duty in the Phillipines and was honorably discharged May 17, 1946.

Oldenkamp was dilled instantly Feb 18, in an truck accident near Rock Valley where he was spending some time with his parents. He was planning to leave soon to begin construction work.

He leaves to mourn his parents , three borthers, John of Hull, George of Sioux Falls, and Harold of Flandreau SD and sever nephews and nieces.
