Mrs. Jake Vande Griend, 80, of Hull died Sunday, December 4, in a hospital in Sheldon.

Services were at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday in the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Marvin Heyboer officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Vande Griend, the former Anna Zwagerman, was born April 2, 1903, at Boyden. She married Jake Vande Griend, February 17, 1926, at Orange City. They farmed in the Hull, Hospers and Boyden areas, retiring in 1967. In 1977 they moved into Hull.

She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors included her husband; three sons, Bernard of Doon; Irwin of Edgerton, MN; and Edward of Boyden; one daughter, Mrs. Tony (Joanna) Jansma of Inwood; two sisters, Mrs. William (Rose) Hofmeyer of Hospers and Mrs. Hilbert (Bertha) Vogel of Lynden, Washington; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
