Died at his home in Perkins on Wednesday Claus H. Haggie (Hagge) aged 81 years and six months. Mr. Haggie was born at Schisiug. Holsteiu in Germany and came to- this country while a young man. After living at Walnut Iowa for some time Mr. and Mrs, Haggie and family moved to Sioux county twenty years ago and bought a farm near Perkins which they still own.

As Mr. Haggie got old and infirm he and his wife built a comfortable house in Perkins where
they have since made their home and rented their farm to their son Hans. The three daughters,, Mrs. Henry Schultz and husband of Rock Rapids,. Mrs, Annie Lemke of Rushmore Minnesota and Mrs. Kate Francis of Aurora Illinois and their brother Hans Haggie were with their father during his last illness, John Haggie of Tacoma Washington was unable to be present.

Relatives from Walnut Iowa were present at the funeral which was held Friday noon. The
Lutheran minister from Rock Rapids conducted the funeral services, Mr, Haggie has been a hale hearty, old man though much troubled with rheumatism of late years. The immediate cause of his death was dropsy and heart failure, Dr, Lass of Hull has been the attending physician.

(From Cemetery index Claus Hinrich was born 25 May 1823 and died 30 Nov 1904 buried Hope Cemetery Hull IA. Wife was Catherine E. born 3 April 1840 and died 13 Apr 1929. In the obit of Elsabe Katherine Ronna states she was married in 1862. )
