Grace Ter Haar, 89, of Sioux Center died Monday, February 2, at the nursing wing of Sioux Center Community Hospital.

Services were 1:30 p.m, Thursday, February 5, at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with the Rev. Arnold Punt officiating.

Mrs. Ter Haar was born November 18, 1908, in Rock Valley, the daughter of Steven & Pieterje (Porma) Van Otterloo.

She married Henry Ter Haar on February 20, 1929, in Sioux Center. He died October 4, 1990.

She enjoyed gardening and sewing.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald of Sioux Center, and Donald, and his wife, Irene, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a daughter and her husband, Helen and Roger Bolks of Sioux Center; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Phil; a great-grandchild; a brother, five half brothers, and a half-sister.
