Funeral services were held for Mrs. George Van Dyke, 77, on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. M. L. Jones, pastor. Interment was made in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Van Dyke was born Jan. 23, 1872. She came here as a young woman from the Netherlands where she met her husband and married him. They had no children but adopted a boy, Henry Van Dyke and a daughter Cornelia. Mrs. Van Dyke was a quiet woman but knitted for the Red Cross and did many other little things to make her loved by those who knew her.

Mrs. M. L. Jones and Mrs. Edward De Haas sang two numbers accompanied by Miss Marjory Jones at the organ.

She is survived by her widower, George Van Dyke and her foster children Henry Van Dyke of Chicago and Mrs. Robert Border of Norfolk, Virginia.

Services for Mrs. Van Dyke

Funeral services for Mrs. Geo. Van Dyke were held at the Methodist Church Saturday afternoon, with Rev. M. L. Jones conducting. She passed away May 5 at the age of 72. Christina Van Dyke was born January 26, 1876. Surviving are her husband, Geo., and two children, Henry Van Dyke of the Navy, and Cornelia (Mrs. Robert Border) of Norfolk, Virginia.
