Dora Van Dyke, 84, of Sioux Center died Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the home of her daughter in Sioux Center. Services were at 10 a.m. Friday in Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. The Rev. Duane Tinklenburg officiated. Memorial services and burial were Monday in Kalamazoo, Mich., under direction of the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Mrs. Van Dyke, the former Dora Riedstra, was born Oct. 2, 1901 in Dusseldorf, Germany. She came to the United States in 1908 and lived in Illinois where she attended grade school. She married John Van Dyke Sept. 18, 1922 in Rapelje, Mont. They lived at Rapelje, moved to Fremont, Mich. in 1943, to Sheldon in 1953, and to Kalamazoo in 1960. He died Aug. 22, 1967. She movd to Sioux Center in 1971. Mrs. Van Dyke was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Jessie) Lemmer of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Leonard (Henrietta) Tellinghuisen of Slayton and Mrs. Gerald (Alwena) Dolieslager of Sioux Center; three sons, Thomas of Grand Rapids, Mich., Albert of Fremont and Abram of Sheldon; three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Winnie) Kooy and Mrs. Menno (Anna) Botma, both of Lansing, Ill., and Mrs. Ernest (Josephine) Scheltema of Grand Rapids; 26 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
