Funeral Is 1 P.M. Thursday for Fred Overlander.

Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 1:00 p.m. at the Little Chapel and 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed church for Fred Overlander, 61, a resident of Sioux Center for 35 years, who passed away at the local hospital Monday morning following a heart attack.

Mr. Overlander was born September 9, 1897, in Clara City, Minn. He was united in marriage to Ada Zoeterman December 23, 1921. They lived on a farm in the Clara City vicinity for one year before moving to Sioux Center in 1923, where he was employed at the Co-op Gas and Oil Company until his retirement in 1943. Since that
time he had done carpentry and furniture repair work.

The deceased is survived by his wife and three daughters: Evelyn, Mrs. Robert Moyer, of East Troy, Wisc.; Ruth, Mrs. George Steininger, of Holland, Mich., and Virginia, Mrs. Dick Kraayenbrink, of Sioux Center. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Janet, Frederick and James Steininger and Danny Kraayenbrink; two brothers, William and Henry Overlander, of Clara City, Minn., and two sisters, Dena, Mrs. Henry Klinghagen, of Kerkhoven, Minn., and Jennie, Mrs. Grover Mersbergen, of Raymond, Minn. His parents and two brothers, George and John, preceded him in death.
