Alton Democrat of August 12, 1904

Albert Alingh and Pete Juugers drove down from Hosper yesterday.
They inform us of the death of Mrs. Kack aged eightyfive at the home of her son Joe a mile east of Hosper. She died last week and was buried
Sunday. Two sons were present from Illinois. Father Gehling preached the funeral sermon and interment took place at Hospers.

(1900 census of Floyd Tsp Sioux County - Only reference to her name was Julia Kack born Oct 1822 Germany was living with her son Joseph Kack born May 1857 Germany and his wife Maggie Ford, with their children. She was the mother of 12 children with only three living, two sons were living in Illinois at the time. No further information on her was found.)
