Mrs. P. Noteboom after a couple of years suffering died Sunday night at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. P. Groeneweg. She leaves a husband and seven children to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held from the Dutch Reformed church and the interment took place in the cemetery of the Dutch Reformed church.

(In the 1900 census the family was recorded as living in Capel Tsp. Sioux County IA. Peter was born Jan 1865 and his wife was born Oct 1872. There marriage was found to have taken place April 17, 1889 in Barendrecht, South Holland, Netherlands. Pieter Rocus Noteboom was 24 yrs bon Barendrecht, son of Jacobus Noteboom 1819 and Cornelia Romeijn 1823. Niesje Groeneweg was 16 yrs born at Barendrecht to Pleum Groeneweg 1847 and Adriana Nugeren 1865-1940. The children of Pieter and Niesje were - Jacob 1889-1940, Pleum 'Paul' 1891-1966, Cornelius 1893-1970, Jennie 1894-1958, Marie 1896-1969, Gerrit 1898-1964 and Rena 1901-1995.)
