DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT

Robert D. Greigg, of Sioux City, former Ireton resident, passed away Monday morning at the Methodist hospital, Sioux City, as a result of complications following a surgery a week ago. He was born at Ute, Iowa, February 12, 1892, and located at Ireton in 1913. He was married to Hattie Torwelle on October 17, 1918, at Ireton. For several years they lived at Hawarden and went to Sioux City three years ago, where he operated a café. He was a veteran of the first world war, a member of the engineer corps of the 163rd division and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors are the widow; three sons, William, with the Seventh army in Germany, and Robert and Stanley of Sioux City; two daughters, Helen and Myrna of Sioux City; and two sisters, Mrs. C. F. Hoefer and Mrs. Maude Larson both of Sioux City.

Funeral services were held at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon from the W. Harry Christy funeral chapel at Morningside, with Rev. Henry Otten, pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in charge. Burial was in the Ireton cemetery.
