Richard Ward of Peoria, Ill, a former resident here, were held Saturday noon at Peoria and graveside services were held Monday afternoon in Logan Park cemetery, Sioux City, Rev. F. B. Shaner officiating.

Mr. Ward was born July 2, 1910 in Sioux City and when a lad lived at Ireton. He graduated from Central high school in Sioux City. In 1938 he moved to Peoria where he established a plywood distributing business. A twin brother, Robert, and another brother, Morgan worked with him.

Surviving besides the two brothers are the widow, Julia, and two children, Richard and Susan, his mother, Cora Morgan Ward and three sisters, Mrs. Winifred Pauley, Mrs. T. R. Harper and Mrs. Harry Brown.
