HAWARDEN, IOWA- ALONZO TOPETE PENA, 20, of Hawarden, Iowa died Sunday, October 15, 2006 in Hawarden,
Alonzo Topete Pena was born January 11, 1986 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Toribio Topete and Maria Pena. They moved to Hawarden, Iowa when Alonzo was 8 years of age. He attended West Sioux Community Schools where he played the trumpet and football. He was currently employed at Golden Crisp Premium Food in Sioux Center, Iowa. Alonzo enjoyed playing play station games and enjoyed cars and putting together model cars. He was a good uncle to his nephews and nieces and a very caring son and brother.
He is survived by his parents, Toribio and Maria of Hawarden; a brother, Juan Cervantes of
Hawarden; four sisters, Aracely Topete of Hawarden, Veronica Pena of Sioux City, Iowa, and
Laura Cervantes and Norma Topete both of Hawarden; and his grandparents, Manuel Pena and
Maria Curiel.
