Died: Tuesday, October 15, 1991, in Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral services for Clarence Top, 79, of Springfield, Missouri, were held Friday in Hills Christian Reformed Church, Hills, Minnesota, with interment in the church cemetery. He died Tuesday, October 15, 1991, in Springfield, Missouri. Mr. Top was born July 14, 1912, in Doon. He attended country schools in Martin and Beaver Creek townships in Minnesota and in Lyon County. He worked on the family farm and later farmed on his own. On June 21, 1938, he married Katie Van Den Oever in Perkins. He retired in 1978 and moved from Valley Springs, South Dakota, to Missouri.
Survivors include his wife; one son, John of Mansfield, Missouri; three daughters,
Barbara Top of Sioux Center, Sue Bartels of Hills, and Karen Top of Seymour, South Dakota; 14 grandchildren; six brothers, Henry of Hills, Ralph of Milaca, Minnesota, Frank of Marshalfield, Missouri, Herman of Sandy, Oregon, Bernie of Luverne and Marinus of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and three sisters, Jennet Van Holland of Egan, South Dakota, Jennie Vander Wal of Ripon, California, and Joan Fransman of Hills.
