Sioux County Capital, February 7, 1952

Mrs. Cornelius Vander Meer died at her home in Alton, Tuesday morning at the age of 76 years. She was born near Freeport, Ill, the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Willem Vander Mey. She was married to Cornelius Vander Meer on Sept. 26, 1894. they observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1944.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Marcus Muilenburg of Alton and a son Floyd of Battle Creek, Mich.; five grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death was one son William in 1945.

Services will be at the home in Alton at 1:16 P.M., Thursday and at Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City at 2:00. Rev. C. Boonstra in charge. Interment in the Orange City Cemetery.
