Benjamin B. Bonestroo, 60, of Hull died Friday in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Services were at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday in the First Reformed Church in Hull. The Rev. Henry J. Vermeer and the Rev. Gerald Vander Velde officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7 to 9 p.m., in the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.
Mr. Bonestroo was born Dec. 25, 1923, at Perkins. He married Anne Sellers Reimann, June 25, 1947, at Hull. He was a veteran of World War II. Since 1950 he was employed by the Iowa State Bank, most recently as cashier and secretary of the board.
Mr. Bonestroo was a member of the First Reformed Church and Wegeman Koele Post 380, American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. James A. (Vera Lane) Verdoorn, and Minerva Jane Bonestroo, both of Hull; his mother, Wilhelmina "Minnie" Bonestroo of Perkins; six brothers, Egbert, Gerald, Alvin and Thomas A. all of Hull; Fred of Sheldon, Leonard of Boyden; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Albertha) Rozeboom of Sioux Falls, SD and two grandchildren.
