William Bogaard, 80, of Lisbon, a native of Orange City, died Sunday in a Cedar Rapids hospital.

Mr. Bogaard was born March 30, 1902 at Orange City. He attended the University of Iowa, and married Susie Ford, Jan. 5, 1945, at Pella. The couple moved from Reinbeck to Glendale, Calif., in 1952 and moved to Lisbon last July.

Mr. Bogaard was a machinist for Librascope Manufacturing Co. in Glendale before retiring in 1967. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers and the Glendale Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife and a brother, Joseph of Sioux City.

Services and burial were held Wednesday at Lisbon.
