Margaret Van Surksum , 13 year old daughter of Mr., and Mrs.Garrit Van Surksum of Hull, passed away Tuesday noon in an ambulance in route to Rochester. She had been ill as an aftermath of measles and a few days ago developed what was believed to be a form of meningitis. Sunday noon she was taken to the Hull hospital but as her condition became worse a final measure was an attempt to bring her to the experts in Rochester. Her parents, Willard Te Grotenbus of Carmel, a nurse and a driver started in the ambulance with her Tuesday morning. The end came in a filling station two miles from Mankato, Minn. The party returned to Hull Tuesday evening.

She was in the 7th grade at the Hull Christian School. Survivors include her parents and one brother John and one sister Muriel.

Funeral services were set tentatively for Friday at 1:30 from the Christian Ref. Church, pending an answer from California relatives who were expected to arrive the latter part of the week.
