Joh Curtis who had ben in St. Jospeh's hospital in Sioux City for about a week died there Sunday and the remains were brought via the Great Northern to Perkins on Sunday evening and interred in the Catholic cemetery on Tuesday the officiating priest was from Sheldon. The deceased was thirty seven years old and made his home with is brother James Curtis who lives north of Hull.

( His parents were James Curtis and Julia O'Halloran as reported in the 1880 census of Elk, Clayton IA. Father James was born 1822 Ireland and Julia about the same time in Ireland. They had three children James 18 born OH, Julia 15 born OH and John 12 born in Iowa, in the 1885 census there were living in the same place with all three children. The brother James Curtis from Hull was born 20 Oct 1861 born OH died 7 Jun 1944 Hull, his wife was Annie McCabe.)
