Gerrit (Gary) H. Boeyink, 53, life-long resident of Sioux Center vicinity, passed away at the Sioux Center Community hospital Saturday following an illness of several months duration. Death was attributed to cancer.

Services were conducted from Central Reformed Church here at 1:30 P.M., Monday by the Rev. Marion Klaaren and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery under the direction of Jongewaard Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.

Pall bearers were Ron Juffer, Dave Mulder, Don De Gooyer, Sr., Everett Franken, Dr. M. Wallinga and Melvin Mouw.

Mr. Boeyink was born near Sioux Center on May 23, 1910, and grew to manhood in this area. He was married to Janeva DeMots on June 17, 1936, and to this union four children were born.

The couple farmed and operated a dairy near Sioux Center until about a year ago. He had worked several months for the Sioux Center Community schools.

Survivors besides his widow include two daughters, Sharon (Mrs. Ronald Vant Hof) of Hospers and Jeri at home; two sons, Gary of Clear Lake, Iowa, and R. G. at home; six sisters, Mrs. Sam Bruinsma, Mrs. John Bleeker, Mrs. Jacob Moeller and Mrs. Donald Colon, all of Sioux Center, Mrs. Arnold Kwikkel of Rock Rapids and Mrs. Lee Russell of LeMars; and five grandchildren.
