Henry J. Boeyink, 89, of Ollie died October 22 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

Services were Monday, October 25, at the Ollie Methodist Church. Interment was in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum in Ottumwa.

Boeyink was born September 16, 1904, in Orange City, the son of John & Clara Muilenburg Boeyink. He married Bessie L. Vander Ploeg in Pella on August 27, 1927. She died February 24, 1990. He was a teacher, coach and superintendent for 27 years in Cedar, Fremont, Martinsburg, Ollie and Oskaloosa schools. He served on church, federal, county, civic and Farm Bureau boards. He was one of the original board members of FHA for Keokuk County. He also farmed for 20 years in the Ollie area.

He was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa and the Ollie Lions Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Gertrude Yoder of Fort Dodge and Wanda Wonderlich of Ollie; a sister, Sylvia Van Wechel of McAllen, Texas; five grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Dorothy Happel and Adelaide Jurriaans, and a granddaughter.
