Gerrit Boeyink, 79, custodian at the public school in Sioux Center for many years and city assessor at the time of his death, passed away unexpectedly early yesterday morning. Death was caused by a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 o'clock at the home and at 1:30 in the Central Reformed church, with Rev. M. Klaaren officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of the Cooperative Burial Association.

Mr. Boeyink had been in apparent good health Tuesday and attended church services that evening at the Central church. He became ill during the night and died a short time after being admitted to the hospital.

Survivors include three children: Mrs. M. L. Nobel of Minneapolis; Mrs. Anthony Hasselo of Orange City and his son Harold of Sioux Center. Also surviving are one grandchild and a brother, John of Sioux Center.

NOTE: From a previous obituary from his wife who died in 1941, her maiden name was De Pree, born Magdaleine Maria De Pree.
