Minnie Van Hunnick
Minnie Van Hunnick was born February 22, 1906 in Gronnen, Holland to Klass and Froukje Groothof Hendricks. She came to the United States when she was three years old with her parents. They settled in Rock Valley, Iowa where she also attended school.

Minnie and John Van Hunnick were married September 19, 1924 at Orange City, Iowa. They settled in Bigelow where she lived for 32 years until moving to Park ViewManor two years ago. Minnie died December 17, 1986 in Park View Manor in Ellsworth, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held December 20, 1986 at 2 p.m. from the United Methodist Church in Begelow with Rev. Ronald Lammers officiating.

She is survived by her five children, Marie, Mrs. Marion Frakes of Luverne, Minn. Veronica, Mrs. William Doherty of Magnolia, Minn., Wilma, Mrs. Harold Reitsma of Wilmont,Minn., Donna, Mrs. George Pluym of Mapleton, Minn, and Clayton VanHunnick of Harris, .la., 20 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a sister, Jennie, Mrs. Alfred Claussen of Rock Valley, la. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two infant sisters.
