Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, at the First Reformed church of Hull for Ed Dykstra, who passed away May 2 in the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He had failed to regain consciousness after suffering a brain concussion April 23 when a pick-up in which he was a passenger overturned a few miles south of Webster City.

A services for the family was held at 1:00 p.m. at the family home of Hull. Rev. John De Jong officiated at their service.

Mr. Dykstra was born in the Netherlands May 21, 1887. He was married to Henrietta Vis in July 1915.

Surviving are his wife, five sons, Herman of Rock Valley, Peter, Dick and Arthur of Hull, Harry of Canton, SD.; four daughters , Mrs. Gertie Brummel of Rock Valley, (Stella) Mrs. Martin Hoekstra of Matlock, (Janet) Mrs. Charles Stienstra of Hull and Ena, who teaches at Sully; and 23 grandchildren.
