Pearl A.M. McCoy, 96, of Hull, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Aug. 10, at Pleasant Acres
Nursing Home in Hull. Funeral service was 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Christy Smith Morningside Chapel, Sioux City.

Mrs. McCoy was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Vail to Hans and Matilda (Stehlik) Rasmussen. She attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls for two and a half years. She taught at a rural school for 10 years.

She married Delmar McCoy in Denison on April 4, 1948, and they moved to Sioux City. She was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church for more than 50 years. She loved to tell stories and visit with people. She volunteered in her church's thrift store for many years. She was also a member of Morningside Eastern Star.

Survivors are a daughter, Vicki and Scott Fischer of Rock Valley; two grandsons; a great-grandson; and a sister, Vivian Popp of Denison. She was preceded in death by her husband.
