Mrs. Josephine Stallinga, mother of Mrs. E. J. Kosters, passed away Sunday afternoon at her home at Doon, following a very short illness. She had reached the age of 82 years.

Mrs. Stallinga came to America at the age of 21 years and was united in marriage to Peter De Jong of Orange City.--To this union one son was born, William De Jong.

Her first husband died early in life, after, which she married John Henry Van Engen of Orange City. They resided in Orange City about 10 years and then moved to Doon where she spent the remaining years of her life.

To thls union ten children were born all of whom still survive. Following the death of John Van Engen she was married to Joe Stallinga who also preceded her in death about three
years ago.

Her children that survive are William De Jong of Doon; Mrs. Henry Kosters, Doon, Carrie Van Engen of Doon, Gerrit of Bellflower,Calif,,. Dick snd Fred both of Doon, Mrs. Susie Pap of Sheldon, Albert of Doon, Mrs. Nick Koel of Ocheyedan, Mrs. E. John Kosters of Sioux Center and Mrs. Andrew Pap of Doon. Also two-step children , Herman Van Engen of Lester and Peter Sluis of South Holland IL. Two sisters preceded her in death and two step-children.

She is further survived by 83 grandchildren and 68 great-grandchildren and one brother Dick
Feenstra of Ireton.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the home and at the Christian Reformed Church at Doon, Rev. Albert Bratt officiating. Burial took place at the Doon cemetery.
