Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon Sept 1, at the Hospers Christian Reformed church of Hospers with Rev. CV.R. Veenstra officiating for Mrs. Fredreka Jacobsmas who died on August 28, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Fredreka Jacobsma, nee Woertink was born December 8, 1873 at Overysel, Mich. On January 23, 1895, she was united in marriage to Syje Jacobsma at Orange City. To this union were born the following; Jennie, Mrs. Neal Houstma of Sheldon; Horton of Hospers; Henry of Boyden; Clarence of Los Angeles; Dora, Mrs. Andrew Vander Berg of Hospers, and Mable, Mrs. Bernard Vos of Whittier Calif. There were 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, John Woertink of San Bernardino, Calif. Mr. Jacobsma died August 27, 1936. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her.

Mr. and Mrs Jacobsma lived near Alton and Sioux Center before moving to Hospers. Mrs. Jacobsma lived the past 22 years with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vander Berg at Hospers. The past 8 months she lived in the Sioux Center Convalescent Home.

The following grandson were pallbearers, Searle Jacobsma of Sheldon, John Jacobsma of Sioux City, David Jacobsmas of Boyden, James Houtsma of Sheldon, Ray Smit of Boyden and Don Van Leeuwen of LeMars. Burial was in the West Cemetery at Hospers
