Tyler S. Osterkamp, 19, of Hawarden, died Monday, October 20, 2003 from injuries sustained in a semi-car collision south of Westfield, Iowa. Funeral service was Oct. 24 at the First Baptist Church in Hawarden with Pastor Stuart Schreur officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton. Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden was in charge of arrangements.

Tyler Steven Osterkamp was born March 17,1984 in Hawarden, the son of Steven and Teri (Salker) Osterkamp. He graduated from West Sioux High School in 2001. Tyler was a certified nurses aid and was currently working at the Singing Hills Super Wal-Mart in Sioux City, a job he has held since the summer of 2002. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hawarden, where he was baptized.

Surviving relatives include his parents, Steven and Teri of Hawarden; two sisters, Shelly Snow of Mpyille, and Savana at home; his nephew, Quintin Osterkamp; his grandparents, Earl and Kay Osterkamp and Bill and Jan Salker all of Hawarden; and his great-grandmother, Florence Osterkamp of Hawarden.
