John H. Meendering, 87, of Boyden died Tuesday, October 12, in a nursing home at Hull.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the First Reformed Church in Boyden.
The Rev. Sylvester Moths officiated. Burial was in the Boyden Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Boyden.

Mr. Meendering was born Nov. 28, 1894, in the Netherlands. He married Jessie Kooima Feb. 23, 1921, in Rock Valley. She died July 11, 1959.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Gertrude) De Groot of Boyden, Mrs. Fred (Johanna) Mulder of Ellsworth, Minn., Mrs. Robert (Alberta) Hall of Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs. Henry (Marian) Kroon of Sioux Center and Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Hollander Jr. of Phoenix,
Ariz.; one son, Jake of Phoenix; four sisters, Mrs. John (Clazina) Luth of Ripon Calif., Mrs. Charles (Sophia) Kempema of Rock Valley, Mrs. Roelfien Luth and Mrs. Griet Van Der Laan,
both in the Netherlands; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
